Michael stood out from the very beginning, and are we ever so happy that we chose to have Michael build our house. 

 When the construction started, the plan was a complete gut and rebuild of our existing home. But because of the soil conditions, once they started digging we learned original plans wouldn't work. Michael was able to find us a designer to help redo the new home plans who was cheaper then our original architect, and much more organized   Michael was integral also to the design, he had countless suggestions on how to improve the original design.  Michael also offered creative options, that would help save money, without compromising the design.

    Michael and his crew were at the house every day and every week.  I have seen numerous homes built in our neighbourhood and there are days and weeks, it seems that nothing is happening there. at those sites.  Michael was continually updating us on the progress, and what the next steps were, and what he needed from us that week. Communication is where you die on a project of this size. Either the contractor communicates too little so that mistakes or misunderstandings happen, or the contractor can't understand your vision and mistakes happen due to the disconnect.  When something came up that needed addressing, he was always available to help make the best decision on how to move forward in a very timely manner.

   There are one thousand decisions to be made when you build a home, and a husband and wife can't agree on every idea . Michael had to be contractor and marriage counsellor during these times. Besides being an incredible contractor,  Michael is an amazing person - he can listen to both sides of an idea and constructively help with the decision that is the best way forward.   As well Michael has incredible design sense and was able to help us out with even better ideas than our own, many times.

  Michael’s trades were incredible. We had a structural engineer neighbour who would tour the ongoing build with us and told us many times that our contractor really knew his stuff, and was building an extremely well-built home.

   Michael was more than a contractor at the end of this process, he became our friend. We're  so grateful to have had the incredible luck to have found Michael. If you are lucky enough to have Michael work on your home, trust me, you have made the wisest decision you can.

    Michael made our dream home a reality - he was on budget and on time. It does not get any better than that!
